Malaria Consortium Nigeria is committed to tackling the large number of malaria cases and deaths in the country. Working in partnership with the Ministry of Health and other partners, we lead and support three major malaria control initiatives in the country:

Experience: 3-5 years experience.

Location of Assignment: Ebonyi and Osun state, Nigeria.

Duration: April- May 2021.

Malaria Consortium requires qualified Enumerators and supervisors who will provide TA support in collecting baseline contextual information from potential project sites through a household and malariometric survey in Ebonyi and Osun states.

Specific tasks for Supervisors

  • Participate in the training  activity for conducting data the collection process  and step-down training for enumerators
  • Liaise with the lead consultant to obtain necessary data the collection tools
  • Conduct the house listing and map out data collection routes
  • Coordinate the data collection and assign daily routes to data collectors
  • Supervise the data entry and validation processes
  • Ensure that all data collection tools and materials are accounted for
  • Responsibility and oversight for all data collection tools and equipment
  • Collate and report daily issues and challenges to the lead consultant
  • Follow confidentiality and security procedures to ensure respondent privacy is protected

Deliverables for supervisors

  • Conduct the house listing and map out data collection routes
  • Supervise the data entry and validation processes
  • Summary daily reports

Qualification and Person specification State Supervisors (2)

Essential

  • BSc  or OND/HND in a relevant academic field
  • At least 3 years experience in collecting data for household surveys
  • At least 2  years experience in supervising household surveys Practical knowledge of community entry & mobilization techniques
  • Demonstrated experience in management of data entry activities and enforcing data quality procedures
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Computer literacy to be able to work on electronic data collection applications.

Good facilitation skills

Desired

  • Good communication skills and experience in participatory methodology.
  • Innovative, motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Certification in M&E will be a plus
  • Good written and verbal skills in English

     Resident in either Ebonyi or Osun states
