Zenith of the Girl Child and Women Initiative Support is a leading girls and women’s rights organization, which promotes gender equality, reaching the most vulnerable, and promoting meaningful inclusion. The organization is a registered non-profit, non-governmental female/youth-led organization that aims to preventing and protecting women and girls against all forms of gender-based violence, abuse, and discrimination. · Education
ZEGCAWIS assist girl child education in Nigeria especially in the Northeast by providing them access to scholastic materials and opportunities to attain their potentials.

ABOUT THE ADVERT
Job Title: SRHR Coordinator
Department: Programs/Health & Protection

Purpose of the Role:
The GBV and SRHR Coordinator is responsible for leading and coordinating all Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) programming. This role ensures the integration of GBV prevention, risk mitigation, and response with SRHR interventions within health, protection, and gender initiatives. The Coordinator will focus on strengthening access to comprehensive SRHR and GBV services, advancing gender equality, promoting rights-based approaches, and ensuring inclusive programming that prioritizes women, girls, adolescents, youth, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups.
The position holder will oversee program design, implementation, capacity building, monitoring, evaluation, advocacy, and resource mobilization to ensure high-quality, evidence-based GBV and SRHR programming that aligns with organizational strategy, donor requirements, and national and international standards. This role requires extensive collaboration with government agencies, civil society, and humanitarian actors, and involves frequent travel to deep field locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Coordination and Implementation
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of GBV and SRHR programs to ensure alignment with organizational strategy and donor requirements.
- Oversee the integration of GBV prevention, mitigation, and response services into health and SRHR programs.
- Support the establishment and strengthening of referral pathways for GBV survivors to access comprehensive, survivor-centered services.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, including government health authorities, NGOs, and community-based organizations, to enhance GBV and SRHR service delivery.
- Ensure programs prioritize the needs of adolescents, youth, women, girls, and other marginalized populations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to field teams on GBV case management, psychosocial support, SRHR services, and community outreach activities.
- Lead in the development and dissemination of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) and Behavior Change Communication (BCC) materials tailored to diverse community needs.
GBV-Specific Responsibilities
- Lead GBV risk assessments to inform program design and ensure safety and dignity in all interventions.
- Oversee survivor-centered case management services, including clinical management of rape and psychosocial support.
- Promote and strengthen community-based GBV prevention and response mechanisms, including women and girl safe spaces and male engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate GBV response efforts with protection, health, and psychosocial actors at the field and national level.
- Support awareness-raising and advocacy campaigns to address harmful social norms and practices contributing to GBV.
- Ensure GBV and SRHR services are accessible to persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups.
Capacity Building and Technical Support
- Train and mentor program staff, health workers, peer educators, caseworkers, and community volunteers on GBV case management, SRHR standards, and rights-based approaches.
- Develop and adapt training packages, job aids, and protocols in line with global standards (e.g., IASC GBV Guidelines, Minimum Initial Service Package for SRHR).
- Build the capacity of local partners and community structures to deliver and sustain GBV and SRHR interventions.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
- Collaborate with the MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) team to design tools and frameworks for GBV and SRHR data collection and analysis.
- Monitor program quality and outcomes, identifying gaps and areas for improvement.
- Ensure ethical and safe data collection on GBV incidents, maintaining confidentiality and survivor safety.
- Prepare accurate and timely program reports for internal management, donors, and partners.
- Support learning, knowledge management, and best practice documentation in GBV and SRHR programming.
Advocacy and Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent the organization in GBV and SRHR coordination mechanisms, technical working groups, and advocacy forums.
- Build strong partnerships with government, UN agencies, NGOs, and civil society organizations to influence policy and service delivery.
- Contribute to advocacy efforts to promote SRHR access, gender equality, and GBV prevention and response.
Resource Mobilization and Budget Management
- Support proposal development, concept notes, and donor engagement for GBV and SRHR initiatives.
- Ensure accurate budget planning, monitoring, and accountability for GBV and SRHR programming resources.
- Track expenditure and ensure donor compliance in all financial and narrative reporting.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Gender Studies, Psychology, Social Sciences, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing and managing GBV and SRHR programming in humanitarian or development contexts.
- In-depth understanding of GBV prevention, response, and risk mitigation, including clinical and psychosocial services.
- Strong technical knowledge of SRHR programming, family planning, adolescent sexual health, and rights-based approaches.
- Proven experience in program management, coordination, donor reporting, and multi-sectorial collaboration.
- Demonstrated expertise in capacity building, advocacy, and community engagement.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, including youth, women, and persons with disabilities.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and analytical skills.
- Fluency in English and Hausa language proficiency required.
- Ability to travel extensively to deep field locations.
