Job Title: Senior Trade Promotion Officer

Reports to: Unit Head/Director
Summary Objective
The prospective employee is expected to be a business development specialist with Project/events management skills to continually grow the Client base of the Lagos International Trade Fair and other specialized exhibitions by canvassing for the local and international exhibitors, partners, attract visitors to the fairs and maintain an active prospective databank always.ResponsibilitiesDevelop strategies on how to market and sell the annual LITF and other exhibitions organized by the departmentAttract exhibitors in Nigeria and Overseas to participate in these exhibitions.Implement all strategies so-developed as approved by the Director of Trade PromotionManage, Supervise and Train the marketing support staff; submit periodic and timely report on their activities to the DirectorAssist in coordinating the production of Promotional materials such as Prospectus, Catalogue, Souvenirs, and any such material needed to market the LITF and other exhibitionsManage all Protocol regarding Government and International relations assignmentsMaintain strong interpersonal relationship with all exhibitors (local and foreign)Attend to exhibitors’ complaints promptly while ensuring customer satisfactionContinually source for and enlist new exhibitors for the LITF and other exhibitionsRespond to inquiries from internal / external clients especially exhibitors.Track all payments for space allocation and monitor payments accordinglyPropose and manage all approved contractors, agents, partners and leads ensuring that all jobs are properly completed and delivered.Suggest and recommend Sales requirements / expectations for all exhibitions in the departmentManage workplan / marketing budget as assigned for all eventsEnsure efficient management of costs on all assigned tasksManage the participation of States, MDAs at the LITF efficientlyKeep records of relevant contractors and update the records periodicallyPerform any other official duty as assigned by the DirectorJob RequirementsThe Job Holder must have core competencies in marketing and sales, new business development, negotiation skills, digital marketing/social media marketing skills, project management, events management etc.Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Social Science / Management disciplines (Business Administration, Marketing, Sociology, etc). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Persuasive, proficient in the use of Microsoft offices and possess event management skills.Experience:
4-5 years cognate experience in Membership/Customer relations management, event management, marketing and sales management.Skills and attributes, and digital Marketing Skills, MS Word, Excel, and PPT, proactive and event management skills.Equal Employment Opportunity:
