ECEWS is implementing a US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funded project aimed at Delivering Comprehensive and Sustainable HIV/AIDS Clinical and Community Services to achieve HIV epidemic control in sub-National units of Delta, Osun and Ekiti States in Nigeria under PEPFAR and the Accelerating Control for HIV Epidemic Project (ACE) funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Akwa Ibom & Cross River States targeted at achieving epidemic control thereby reducing transmission and improving the quality of life of those living with HIV.

Job Description

  • Senior Technical Advisor – PSM will play a leading role in the development of ECEWS inhouse capacity among the various departments, implementing agencies (lAs) in all aspects of distribution and warehousing of health commodities.
  • S/he will provide technical support and leadership to Nigeria’s efforts to strengthen the supply chain process of health commodities, using the LMIS supply chain management information system, to reduce stock-outs, lower costs and eliminate wastage in the CDC project in Delta, Ekiti & Osun state. 
  • Any other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Recruitment Standard

  • MBBS/MD/PHD or similar degree with 7-10 years post national youth service experience with at least 7 years progressive experience in in managing a PSM cycle, including rational health commodities selection, forecasting/quantification, quality assurance spanning the PSM cycle, warehousing/storage, distribution and LMIS.
  • Or MPH or MS/MA in relevant degree with at least 7-10 years post national youth service experience with at least 3 years progressive experience in managing a PSM cycle, including rational health commodities selection, forecasting/quantification, quality assurance spanning the PSM cycle, warehousing/storage, distribution and LMIS.
  • Or BS/BA in Logistics, Pharmacy or relevant field with 7 to 9 years relevant experience managing          a          PSM     cycle,   including          rational             health commodities     selection, forecasting/quantification,      quality assurance spanning           the        PSM     cycle, warehousing/storage, distribution, and LMIS.
  • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health system and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.
