Senior Program Advisor/State Team Lead At Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) – Adamawa


Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) is an indigenous non-governmental organization that promotes socio-economic development by supporting a broad range of global health programs, education, research, and livelihoods initiatives in Nigeria. In anticipation of a potential award from USAID on the Accelerating Control of the HIV Epidemic in Nigeria (ACE) with focus on the BAY (Borno, Adamawa, Yobe) states, the following positions are open for consideration to all qualified candidates. AHNi currently has its headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria..

Senior Program Advisor/State Team Lead: Will provide oversight, coordination, monitoring and reporting of the project’s activities in the Head and Field Offices as well as Sub Recipients (SRs). Lead the team in the coordination of SRs and Offices on the ACE grant. Coordinate the development and maintenance of systems that effectively respond to ACE requirements regarding implementation procedures, reporting and evaluation, coordinate the timely submission and documentation of all key grant documents (signed agreement, approved budgets and workplan, implementation Letters, management Letters, etc.) including program narrative and financial reports and M&E datasheets and coordinate the availability of technical resources and integrate their efforts into overall program success.

Minimum Recruitment Standards

  • BS/BA in Public Health, Business Administration, Health Sciences, behavioral sciences or its recognized equivalent with 7 – 9 years of relevant experience with international development program
  • Or MSc/MA degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Health Sciences, behavioral sciences or its recognized equivalent with 5 – 7 years relevant experience with international development programs

Or MBBS/MPH degree or its recognized equivalent with 5-7 years’ working experience in the above-stated disease intervention program

  • Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is required.
  • Skills on stakeholder engagement and management is essential
  • Ability to use MS office, MS project and some data visualization applications is essential
  • Knowledge and skills on conducting budget analysis and tracking (Burn rate, Pipeline analysis) is essential
