Job Title: Senior HIV Counselling Testing / Key Population Associate, Clinical

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • The incumbent will manage the unit responsible for identifying and working with Key Population groups to carry out outreaches and work closely with the PSO (HTS) to ensure the KPs have access to HTS.
  • Ensure appropriate support for the implementation of program activities in HIV prevention for key and vulnerable populations, including integration of TB/HIV services for co-infected patients.
  • Support the design of structural interventions to prevent HIV among key populations, including those that address gender inequalities, stigma and discrimination and the legal rights and status of key populations, and economic barriers.
  • Review evidence-based clinical training materials, job aids, and curricula, supervisory systems and other training materials needed for implementation of the program to meet the needs of USAID and the Government of Nigeria.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Annual retention rate of at least 95% for treatment current amongst KP
  • Linkage rate of at least 95% for KP
  • Viral load uptake of at least 95% of annual target for KP
  • Viral suppression rate of at least 95% for KP
  • At least 95 % target achievement for new Treatment of KP
  • Efficient case finding amongst Key Population (at least 10.0 % positivity yield)
  • Optimized index testing among Key Population of at least 95% acceptance rate and 1:3 eradication rate with at least 30% positive yield.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Health Sciences, and Nursing required. Master’s in relevant field preferred.
  • At least 4 years’ experience training community health workers and/or CBOs in HIV interventions for key and vulnerable populations.
  • Experience training community health workers and/or CBOs in HIV interventions for key and vulnerable populations.
  • Skilled in at least two or more of the following technical areas: strengthening service delivery programs, performance and quality improvement, psychosocial support, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Experience in Key Population programming.
