Request for Proposals (RFP), for Rehabilitation of Latrines in Monguno LGA of Borno State (PR/2021/NGA/0345) At Norwegian Church Aid

NCA has a presence in Nigeria to respond to the Humanitarian crisis in Northeast Nigeria. NCA has its core competencies in Gender Based Violence and Water Sanitation and Hygiene. NCA has its strengths in works and invest in local partners and ensures their capacities are built from the onset of response, to enable them to have the capacity to respond in a long-term intervention including recovery and development.

Scope of Service

To ensure a successful project implementation, the contractor shall perform the following tasks:**

1. The contractor shall upon approval by authorize signatures of contract shall procure all construction materials as subject to the BOQ with required quantity and specifications.
2. Procured construction materials shall be approved by WASH technical staff. This items are subject to be rejected if the quality of materials is beyond standard, as well as materials subject to approval if items meet technical specifications which a quality check approval form will be sign by the technical staff. All materials shall be approved by NCA WASH Technical representative only.
3. Deploy qualified and well experienced Engineer/artisans to carry out the required tasks
4. The contractor shall strictly follow the technical specifications and BoQs attached to the contract documents
5. No variations will be accepted. In case of any foreseen variations, the supervisor will report to WASH Manager in writing with justifications, its implication in the cost and time prior to executing the additional works.
6. Identifications of sources of materials (materials bought or supplied from an illegal source will be rejected)
7. Based on the approved work plan, the contractor shall execute multiple work activities simultaneously to save time
8. The construction site shall be free of debris and hazardous materials/objects. The contractor shall apply all safety measures for its workers and work supervisors
9. The contractor shall allow unlimited access to construction sites for the NCA staff dealing with this project and M & E staff as required.

NCA WASH officer shall monitor the construction activities on a regular basis to ensure that quality standards and timelines are maintained

Mandatory Requirements

· Proof of company registration to operate in Nigeria (Cooperate Affairs Commission, CAC)

· Valid and functional company Tax Identification Number, TIN

· Presence in Maiduguri, Borno State.

· Experience in similar activities in the past especially with I/NGOs
