MSI Nigeria Reproductive Choices is a result-oriented social enterprise committed to providing reproductive health care and allied services to underserved Nigerians. As part of the global Marie Stopes International network, MSI operates in over 37 countries, delivering services through six service delivery channels in Nigeria.
Position: PSS Channel Lead – North
Location: Abuja
Position Overview
The PSS Channel Lead will manage assigned projects and service delivery channels, overseeing the execution of activities, ensuring that objectives are met, and providing key strategic direction. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, managing donor relationships, and analyzing program performance to ensure effective delivery aligned with MSI Nigeria’s goals.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management
- Lead the management of projects, ensuring donor standards and budget adherence.
- Facilitate monthly project meetings and organize quarterly/annual governance meetings.
- Supervise regional teams, providing guidance on work planning, reporting, and forecasting.
- Monitor project performance through support visits and ensure timely high-quality report submissions.
Donor Management and Reporting
- Oversee programmatic and financial reporting to donors.
- Ensure proper documentation systems and compliance with donor regulations.
- Build strong internal and external relationships, coordinating with partners and stakeholders.
- Participate in proposal writing and mobilize new resources for projects.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with donor rules and MSI clinical, finance, and data standards.
- Enforce MSI’s Anti-fraud and Bribery (AFB) guidelines.
Channel Management
- Provide strategic leadership for channel performance, ensuring alignment with KPIs.
- Lead the development of the channel, including operational analysis and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Ensure clinical standards are maintained in collaboration with the Clinical Directorate.
- Empower a motivated and cost-effective service delivery team, manage team recruitment, and drive performance.
- Explore business ventures that add value to the service provider relationship.
Other Responsibilities
- Foster a collaborative and professional team environment.
- Assist in the development of the annual business plan.
- Provide support to teams remotely and during regional visits.
- Perform other duties as required.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in a relevant field (Higher degree/business qualification is a plus).
- At least 8 years of project management experience, with 3 years in managing large grants in sexual and reproductive health, preferably in family planning.
- Experience in cervical cancer, disability inclusion, menstrual hygiene, and gender-based violence is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience managing donors (e.g., BMGF, USAID, FCDO, BMZ) and understanding of the sexual and reproductive health landscape in Nigeria, particularly in the North.
- Ability to work independently and travel up to 50% of the time.
