About the Job

  • We are expanding our Prosthetics Provider Network Department and are inviting licensed Prosthetics & Orthotics professionals, Physiotherapists, and Rehabilitation specialists across Africa to join our volunteer team.
  • This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a continental mission focused on improving access to prosthetic care, rehabilitation services, and inclusion for individuals living with limb loss and related conditions.

Volunteer Position Notice: 

  • This role is currently unpaid and offered on a voluntary basis. 
  • As Malcolm’s Anatomy Foundation grows and secures sustainable funding, selected volunteer roles may be considered for future compensation based on organizational needs and available resources.
  • Participation in this role does not guarantee future employment or remuneration.

Commitment and Flexibility:

  • This is a fully remote and highly flexible volunteer role designed to accommodate professionals with existing personal and work commitments.
  • The expected time commitment is approximately four (4) hours per week, with flexibility in how and when those hours are completed, subject to agreed deadlines, meetings, and team priorities.
  • Volunteers are expected to maintain regular communication, participate in occasional virtual meetings, and provide weekly updates on assigned activities.
  • The role can be performed from any location with reliable internet access.

About the Role

  • The Prosthetics Provider Network Department is responsible for building and maintaining a verified database of prosthetic and rehabilitation service providers across Africa.
  • This database will form the foundation of a Provider Network Directory, where individuals can search for trusted professionals based on location, services offered, and areas of specialization.
  • The department also supports the documentation and follow-up of cases submitted by individuals seeking prosthetic or rehabilitation support, ensuring proper tracking for advocacy, outreach, and fundraising campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and document Prosthetics, Orthotics, Physiotherapy, and Rehabilitation providers across Africa
  • Support verification and vetting of providers using Foundation guidelines
  • Maintain accurate records in the Provider Network database (Excel/Sheets)
  • Review and follow up on cases submitted by individuals seeking prosthetic support
  • Support structured case documentation for awareness and fundraising campaigns
  • Contribute professional insights to improve referral systems and access pathways.
