PSHAN is a nonprofit platform leveraging private sector resources to strengthen Nigeria’s
healthcare system. PSHAN leads the Adopt-A-Health-Facility Program (ADHFP), aiming to
upgrade at least one Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC) in each of Nigeria’s 774 LGAs.
Role Overview
PSHAN seeks an experienced Project Manager (Architect) to lead the design review,
planning, and execution of PHC construction and refurbishment projects. The role combines
technical architectural oversight with strong project management, stakeholder
engagement, and fundraising support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end healthcare construction and renovation projects.
- Review architectural and construction plans for quality and alignment.
- Coordinate contractors, engineers, and vendors; conduct site visits.
- Track timelines, budgets, risks, and regulatory compliance.
- Support procurement and oversee facility handover.
- Maintain financial records, monitor cash flows, and report to donors.
- Support recruitment of institutional and individual adopters.
- Prepare project briefs and represent PSHAN in donor meetings.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture; PMP or Construction Mgmt. preferred.
- 8+ years’ experience in architecture or construction (preferably healthcare).
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, budgeting, and reporting.
- Proficient in MS Project, AutoCAD, and relevant software.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiar with Nigerian building codes and healthcare facility standards.
- Willingness to travel extensively with passion for public health
