We are recruiting qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Project Director

Location: Abuja

Background

  • We seek a Project Director in Abuja. The Solidarity Center is an international worker rights organization helping workers attain safe and healthy workplaces, dignity on the job, and greater equity at work and in their community. Position is contingent upon funding.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and submission of project deliverables/implementation, stakeholder and risk management processes, budget targets, and sustainability planning and implementation.
  • Oversee implementation of M&E systems from project initiation to closeout stages.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with all project stakeholders: engaging in coalition building and empowering stakeholders to take ownership of key project outcomes for post project sustainability of progress.
  • Conduct project activities, serve as one of the key Liaisons on the project, and write reports.
  • Develop coalition building contacts with union
  • leaders, government, community, and civil society organizations in Nigeria.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or a minimum of seven (7) years of work experience.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining systems for managing project operations.
  • Excellent writing, grant and project management skills.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in project management and managing operational and administrative duties for USGfunded projects or other donor funded projects with similar complexity.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
  • Experience with USG or other donor-funded programs including program monitoring and evaluation, and budget tracking/projection.
