Forward in Action for Education, Poverty and Malnutrition (FAcE-PaM) is a not-for profit Non-Governmental organization duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 1998 with registration number 11444.
Our conception priority focus areas at inception were Education, Poverty and Malnutrition. Consequent to expanding needs and intervening challenges, we responded to them, leading to expansion of our areas of intervention and engagement. Although we have never lost focus, but over time, we have either been initiating or implementing (mostly in partnership or with support of donors) programs especially in the areas of Education, Peace Studies and Practice, Peace building and Conflict Management, Mediation, Promotion of peaceful elections, Gender and Disability issues, Water and Sanitation, Nutrition, Health (especially reproductive and public health), Orphans and Vulnerable Children, Human Rights, Democracy and Good Governance, Capacity Building and Mentoring of NGOs, CSOs, CDAs, etc.

Job Responsibilities
Technical Support and Project Management:
- Responsible for project oversight, management and implementation of CASCADE project in Jigawa and Kebbi State..
- Provide technical support for allthematic areas, health/nutrition agricultural livelihood, policy and governance, gender activities and different Nutrition policy service pathways.
- Provide technical leadership to the project team, Stakeholders
- Identify, track and resolve project issues on an ongoing basis, and proactively seek support where issues require wider attention and resolution.
- Support team in the application of agreed program approaches and adherence to quality standards.
- Provide input into revised work plans, Budget referring to ensure effective management of CASCADE project to be on scope, budget, time and other available resource and within project guidance.
- Facilitate the design, review, and updating of detailed Implementation Plans and field activities for thematic areas.
- Coordinate withtheCARE Nigeria CASCADE teamto ensure programmatic and operational support for timely and quality project implementation.
Coordination and Representation:
- Attend project coordination meetings at Local Government level to ensure effective coordination and linkages with other National partners as well Local Government structures on project key thematic areas.
- RepresentCASCADE project in relevant fora related to key technical areas in consultation withCASCADE Project Manager.
- Support networking and coordination of efforts with government, private sector, and key stakeholders who share mutual objectives.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Ensure efficient use of project resources, adherence to CARE standards, and compliance with CASCADE project SOPs and regulations.
- Contribute to project monitoring and reporting toCARE Nigeria.
- With other team members of thePMT, create and promote a productive learning environment.
- Ensure the regular monitoring of project activities against existing workplans to ensure effective and efficient implementation; assess program technical quality with team and identify any weaknesses and elaborate corrective action plans as needed.
- Facilitate regularCASCADEreview meetings with local government, target communities and project staff.
- Use reporting guidelines to track and develop quality weekly updates, situational reports, monthly, quarterly, annual and end of projects reports, key lessons, and success stories in accordance withCARE requirements.
Learning:
- Monitor developments related to key technical areas under supervision, including best practices and engage in personal development and learning on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure that knowledge and learning is documented and shared withMEALteam.
- Fulfill any other Responsibilities as Assigned
Qualification/ Experience / Technical Skills
Required:
- Masters or University degree in, Nutrition and Dietetics, Public Health, MBBS, Agri-business Management, Development Studies, Public Policy or any related Social Science disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in Development programming, and team leadership most especially on Nutrition, Governance or health programming
- Ability to develop quality technical quality reports also report timely.
- Experience in working in a Nutrition, livelihood, Governance programs and maintaining amicable relationships with partners’ staff and stakeholders.
Desired:
- Knowledge of local languages spoken in Jigawa and Kebbi.
- Previous similar role experience with NGOs.
- Advanced computers skills (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to establish priorities, plan, coordinate and organize own work plan.
