Context:
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of the Project Manager (COMITAS), the successful candidate will be responsible for the support in the implementation of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting (MER) component of the COMITAS project.. In particular, s/he will. In particular, the incumbent will perform the following duties:

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

  1. Support the planning and implementation of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting (MER) activities which will include results matrix, work plans and monitoring compliance of indicators.
  2. Ensure timely submission, review and consolidation of reports submitted by implementing partners which will include monthly sitreps and interim reports.
  3. Support in the development of concept notes, proposals for new projects and upscaling of the ongoing project based on lessons learnt.
  4. Support the COMITAS team in planning and organizing meetings, workshops, consultations, events, and dialogues.
  5. Oversee training and capacity building support to the COMITAS project staff on various aspects related to MER.
  6. In coordination with the programmes support and communications unit, document the process and activities of the projects which will include case stories for donor reports and IOM website, and newsletters.
  7. Prepare clear and innovative presentations of the project data such as power point presentations and information sheets. Document lessons learnt and conduct research related to the project.
  8. Overseeing and supporting the internal and external evaluation process of the project in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.
  9. Liaise with the resource management unit and communications teams to ensure adherence to all donor specific requirements such as visibility, financial reporting, and procurement
  10. Carry out project field visits and support the establishment of beneficiary feedback mechanisms of the project in collaboration with the other implementing partners.
  11. Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Education:
• University degree in Development, Social or Political Sciences, Management, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with 3 years of relevant experience or High School Diploma in the above fields with five years of relevant working experience.

Experience:
• Experience in Development, Social or Political Sciences, Management.
• Experience in project implementation and in the field of research, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting in insecure environments.
• Experience in MER system design, data processing and tools.
• Strong reporting skills.
• Experience in peace and recovery programmes is an asset.
• Experience working in a complex crisis environment or a post-conflict environment.
• Experience in the application of good practice in project management such as participatory approaches and do-no harm.

Skills:
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Good knowledge of information technology and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and SharePoint.
• Previous work experience in international organizations and companies would be an advantage.
Languages:
Fluency in English is required and working knowledge of Local Languages.
