Job Summary:
The Head of Programs is a senior leadership position overseeing and managing an organization’s programs and projects. This role requires strategic planning, project management, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive program strategy aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of all programs and projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including funders, partners, and community members, to ensure program success and alignment with stakeholder expectations.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with program implementation, making adjustments as necessary to achieve program goals.
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation systems to assess program effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.
- Prepare regular reports for the board of directors, and other relevant stakeholders on program progress, outcomes, and financial performance.
- Ensure that programs comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Work with the development team to secure funding and grants to support program initiatives.
- Perform other Program tasks assigned by the Executive Director
Required Qualification
Experience and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistic, social sciences or another related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in programmatic support in organizations projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office package
- Applicant must have strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on developing and motivating staff.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Applicant must be able to think strategically and develop long-term program plans.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address program challenges.
- Applicant must have Budgeting and financial management experience, including the ability to manage program budgets.
