The Agatha Valentine Hope Foundation (AVHF) is a Nigerian non-profit focused on improving women’s reproductive health through uterine fibroid awareness, treatment access, and surgical safety initiatives. Founded in honor of the late Mrs. Agatha Valentine, the organization provides community outreach, health advocacy, and financial support for medical interventions via the Agatha Women’s Health Access Fund.

Key Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the organization’s programme portfolio and ensuring the effective delivery of projects. Responsibilities include:
  • Designing and implementing strategic programmes that align with the organization’s mission.
  • Coordinating programme activities from planning through implementation and evaluation.
  • Managing relationships with partners, volunteers, donors, and other stakeholders.
  • Leading Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) activities to assess programme effectiveness.
  • Preparing high-quality reports for management, partners, and donors.
  • Ensuring programme compliance with organizational standards and donor requirements.
  • Supporting grant proposal development, fundraising initiatives, and resource mobilization efforts.
  • Driving innovation to improve programme delivery and organizational impact.
  • Monitoring project timelines, deliverables, budgets, and overall programme performance.
  • Working closely with internal teams to achieve organizational goals.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants should possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Social Work, or another related discipline.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in programme coordination, project management, or nonprofit organizations.
  • Previous experience working in women’s health, reproductive health, or community development will be an added advantage.
  • Strong project planning and organizational skills.
  • Experience in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate remote teams effectively.
  • Grant writing or fundraising experience is considered an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
