Job Description

  • Our client needs a program manager to organize programs and activities for our organization.
  • He/she will be tasked with developing programs to support the organization’s strategic direction, as well as creating and managing long term goals.
  • He/she will also be in charge of developing budgets and operating plans for programs and work with grants and partnership in writing program funding proposals.

Duties

  • Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.
  • Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.
  • Creating and managing long-term goals.
  • Developing a budget and operating plan for the program.
  • Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
  • Writing program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of services.
  • Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.
  • Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.
  • Analysing program risks.
  • Review program implementation tools (consultancy agreement, work plan, budget, performance monitoring plan, program audits and assessments, etc.) to determine funding, procedures, staffing, technical assistance, and allotment of other resources needed for successful implementation of priority activities.
  • Establish work plans, program teams, and standard operating procedures to meet program goals and ensure compliance with donor rules, policies and procedures, and local laws.
  • Identify, and as applicable provide, appropriate guidance and training to Officers and volunteers to achieve program goals.

Requirements

  • Relevant Graduate Degree in Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1 – 2 years of experience in a related mid management role.
  • Proven record of fundraising experience in a for-profit or non-profit organization.
  • Proven record of leadership skills at a mid or senior organizational level.
  • Excellent marketing skills
  • Proven experience as a leader
  • Strong relationship, business, and project management skills.
  • Exceptional strategic planning abilities, attention to detail, and delivery.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative, uses sound, independent judgment, and discretion, and seeks guidance and feedback where appropriate – a doer as well as a manager.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; highly organized with concern for detail and a commitment to rigor.
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to manage teams, departments, and projects simultaneously.
