Background
Center for Child Care and Human Development (C3HD) is a Child Centered and Women Focused (CCWF) nongovernmental, non-tribal, non-religious and non-profitable organization established and registered with state in 2017 and later registered as a non-profit organization with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
C3HD was established to respond to the needs of the most vulnerable communities and especially women and children, and those affected by conflict and insurgency through maximizing contributions to Health care and wellbeing, Education, WASH and inequality, Protection (GBV and CP), Peace Building, and Economic recovery and Livelihood.
C3HD is striving for an all-inclusive community and human development for all, including populations who are marginalized, underserved or affected by conflict or insurgency, catering to their health and wellbeing. We have a mission of striving to transform the lives women and children on the edges of society and help them regain and pursue their dreams for sustainable development.
C3HD acts as an agent for change. For 5 years and in 4 states, we help women and children to overcome the massive problem they face through reducing inequality in accessing health services and education, responding to violence, and promoting food security, empowerment, peace and building their resilience to respond to future hardships. We employ “the protective communities’ approach” to our programming’s by mainstreaming safeguarding and protection in our activities.

Project Background
Center for Child Care and Human Development (C3HD) is implementing a 6-month Peer Learning Project together with Muslim Sisters Organization of Nigeria (MSO) as a learning partner. The main objective of this project is to enhance the capacities of CSO’s partners to empower forcibly displaced women and work efficiently in forced displacement contexts through

series of tailored trainings, workshops, campaigns and on job learning experiences in advocacy, community engagement, strategic planning, resource mobilization, proposal development, program planning, implementation and result based Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) experiences.

The project aims to:
Improve strategic planning, community engagement and advocacy, ultimately leading to more effective support for displaced women and girls.
Specifically, outcomes of this project are expected to result to an:
o Improved capacity of the peer CSO’s to design, implement, monitor and evaluate programs and initiatives for socio-economic recovery, political participation, and empowerment of displaced women and girls.
o Improved capacity of peer CSO’s on strategic planning, development and tracking.
o Improved capacity of CSO’s in public campaigns and policy advocacy
o Improved resource mobilization capacity of CSO peer to mobilize additional resources to support forcibly displaced women and girls.

Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Human Rights Officer to join our team and play a vital role in the “Women for Peace” project.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate the overall peer learning activities including capacity building and advocacy initiatives under the project.
Coordinate the development and implementation of a knowledge development and management strategy, and communications plan that aligns with WPHF and C3HD’s goals and objectives. Manage, develop, and maintain a standardized system to organize, document, archive, and disseminate knowledge gained from the project.
Coordinate development and regular update of the project’s over-arching brief, including areas of focus, capabilities, and success stories.
Coordinate with C3HD and project partner staff to synthesize and make available strategic information across teams and focus areas for internal or external system strengthening efforts.
Facilitate the development, collation, and review of content for project raining materials including slides, reports, briefs, newsletter, and other relevant publications from draft to final document copyedits including infographics, diagrams, and illustrations.
Ensure compliance with established organizational and donor policies and procedures related to the production of reports, briefs, newsletter, and other relevant project publications.

Serve as the communications point of contact for the Peer Learning Project and share regular content for publication within C3HD’s office communication team as required.
Create and/or manage knowledge-sharing platforms/thought leadership sessions such as webinars, online platforms.
Curate and maintain a centralized knowledge repository to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
Conduct regular audits of knowledge repositories to ensure data relevance and applicability.
Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement using technological tools.
Establish and maintain partnerships with all departments and units to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Work with external consultants to Design and deliver training sessions to drive learning and development of the team and professional development.
Develop a knowledge management strategy and Capacity Development Plan for C3HD and, Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in knowledge management to ensure the effectiveness of C3HD’s knowledge management strategy.
Capacity Building
• Work with the project team to develop, implement and document capacity development plan(s) to foster capacity improvement and aid effective program planning, implementation, and monitoring.
• Research and recommend learning methodologies, resources and tools that most effectively build project staffs’ capacity in line with capacity development plan.
• Develop and maintain checklists and tools to effectively track implementation and specific deliverables based on the projects capacity development plans.
• Working with the technical team, peer learning partners and other project staff, develop an overall capacity-building strategy that will sustainably build the capacity of, and strengthen teams within the two organizations.
• Document successes, lessons learned and challenges in implementation as well as reports of project activities and results to the project and donor, including inception, activity and end of project reports and other reporting requirements as requested.
• Troubleshoot to identify and resolve project issues and implement improvement plans to ensure project stays on schedule and within budget.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• BSc in relevant field. or Master’s degree Management or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a coordinator or in managerial position working with women and girls in a conflict-affected setting.

• Proven experience in monitoring, evaluation, learning and documentation.
• Excellent knowledge of international human rights law and standards.
• Strong knowledge of GBV, CP and Peace Building including analytical and research skills.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Fluency in English and Hausa is required.
• Experience working with women and girls is a plus.
• Passion for human rights and gender equality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
