Job Description

  • The Partnerships Manager will be responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships to advance the Foundation’s objectives.
  • It will involve identifying and securing funding opportunities, managing donor relationships, leading proposal development, and collaborating with various stakeholders to support entrepreneurial initiatives across Africa.
  • The successful candidates will be assigned to cover any of the following geographic areas: Africa (including Nigeria), Middle East Asia, Europe, America or Rest of World.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Relationship Building: Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and government agencies.
  • Funding Opportunities: Research and identify new funding opportunities to support the TEF’s programs and initiatives.
  • Contract Negotiations: Lead negotiations for partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and compliance with TEF policies.
  • Grant Writing: Develop high-quality proposals, concept notes, and grant applications to secure funding.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with program teams to gather necessary information for proposal development and reporting.
  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports for donors and stakeholders, detailing program impact and financial accountability.
  • Account Management: Ensure effective and efficient management of all donor accounts, including timely submission of reports and audits.
  • Communication: Maintain regular communication with donors, providing updates on program progress and impact.
  • Advocacy Campaigns: Develop and implement advocacy strategies to influence policy changes that support entrepreneurship in Africa.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with policymakers, business leaders, and other stakeholders to promote the TEF’s mission and objectives.
  • Roundtable Discussions: Organize and facilitate policy roundtables and forums to drive conversations on entrepreneurship.
  • Research Initiatives: Collaborate with research institutions to conduct studies on barriers and enablers of entrepreneurship in Africa.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data to generate insights that inform program strategies and advocacy efforts.
  • Impact Measurement: Develop and implement tools for measuring the impact of the TEF’s programs and initiatives.
  • Philosophy Advocacy: Promote the philosophy of Africapitalism, highlighting the role of the private sector in driving economic and social development in Africa.
  • Content Creation: Develop and disseminate content related to Africapitalism through various channels, including social media, reports, and events.
  • Network Building: Build and maintain a network of supporters and advocates for Africapitalism across Africa and globally.

Qualification / Experience Requirements

  • First Degree
  • Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar roles across Technology and Innovation, corporate sector, experience in varied African markets, and TEFs.
