Future Resilience and Development Foundation (FRAD) is a registered non-profit organization with the corporate affairs commission, in accordance with the Nigerian Law, FRAD work in both humanitarian and development sector to build the resilience of Vulnerable populations through our interventions in thematic areas of WASH, Nutrition, Protection, Education and early recovery and livelihood. Recruitment Type: Contract
Position: Office Driver.
Education: Minimum of SSCE or equivalent; additional certifications in defensive driving, vehicle maintenance, or related areas are an advantage.
Experience: 2-5 years of proven driving experience with a reputable organization, preferably in the humanitarian or development sector.
Salary range: N100,000-N150,000

Duties and Responsibilities
The Office Driver will be responsible for the safe transportation of staff, goods, and materials and provide support for logistical tasks as needed. Key responsibilities include:
1 Driving and Transportation.
- Ensure the safe and timely transportation of staff and goods to various locations.
- Plan routes and maintain a thorough understanding of road conditions, ensuring compliance with traffic rules and regulations.
- Provide transportation support for field activities, ensuring all operations are conducted with efficiency and safety.
2. Vehicle Maintenance and Management.
- Conduct routine checks to ensure vehicles are in excellent working condition.
- Report any mechanical issues or damages promptly and ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and equipped with essential tools and safety equipment.
- Maintain accurate vehicle logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance records.
3 Administrative Support.
- Actively collaborate with the logistics team to ensure seamless operations
- Assist with logistical tasks such as delivering documents, and materials to designated locations.
- Support in vehicle documentation management, including service schedules.
Technical Skills:
- Driving Skills: Proven experience in safe driving, including defensive driving techniques.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics to identify and report issues.
- Communication: Clear and professional communication skills.
- Time Management: Ability to manage schedules and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Integrity: Demonstrates accountability, honesty, and professionalism in all activities.
Requirements
- Qualifications/Experience:
- Minimum of o’level certificate.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a driving role, preferably within the humanitarian or development sector.
- Valid Nigerian driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Familiarity with local routes and terrain in Borno State.
- Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of basic vehicle repairs.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities
- Honest, Accountability, ambition, professionalism, creativity and integrity.
