Job Vacancy: Nutrition Manager
Location: Maiduguri, with frequent travel to Magumeri and Marte, Borno State

We are currently recruiting a dynamic and experienced Nutrition Manager to oversee and lead our nutrition programming across multiple LGAs in Borno State.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for all nutrition programs across project locations.
  • Develop program plans, budgets, and implementation strategies in alignment with national guidelines and donor requirements.
  • Lead and support nutrition assessments, surveys, and monitoring exercises to inform program design and implementation.
  • Ensure high-quality implementation of CMAM, IYCF, and other community nutrition models.
  • Supervise and mentor Nutrition Officers and Coordinators to ensure effective delivery and team performance.
  • Represent 5TEi in relevant sector meetings, technical working groups, and coordination platforms.
  • Collaborate with MEAL and program teams to ensure quality data collection, reporting, and learning.
  • Contribute to proposal development, donor reporting, and strategic program planning.
  • Ensure integration of nutrition with other sectors (Health, WASH, Protection, Livelihoods).
  • Promote accountability, gender sensitivity, and inclusion throughout all program activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing multi-site nutrition programs in humanitarian or development settings.
  • Proven expertise in CMAM, IYCF, and other nutrition-specific programming.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Experience with donor-funded projects and reporting (e.g., UN, USAID, ECHO, etc.).
  • Familiarity with national nutrition guidelines, policies, and coordination mechanisms.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Fluency in English required; Hausa, Kanuri, or other local language skills are an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel frequently to remote and hard-to-reach areas.
