Centre for Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development (CINGROSD), formerly known as Tony-Ehon Development Centre (TOEDEC), is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering sustainable development in Nigerian communities. CINGROSD prioritizes community and women’s health, gender-inclusive education, Agro-business development, digital literacy, and environmental/climate adaptation. The Project Manager role is critical to ensuring the successful planning, execution, and sustainability of CINGROSD’s diverse project portfolio, with a strong emphasis on community health initiatives, including HIV/TB program implementation, and proposal development to drive funding and organizational impact.

2. Objectives of the Position

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management, implementation, and monitoring of CINGROSD’s projects. This includes ensuring project alignment with organizational objectives, effective team leadership, timely project delivery, and budget management. The Project Manager will also lead proposal writing efforts to secure funding for CINGROSD’s programs, ensuring all project goals are achieved and documented according to donor requirements and organizational standards.

Location: This position is hybrid and Abuja based and only Abuja based can apply

3. Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement project plans, ensuring that each stage of project execution aligns with CINGROSD’s strategic goals. Oversee day-to-day project activities to ensure timely, quality delivery.
  2. Lead community health projects, including TB awareness and treatment programs, in coordination with local health agencies. Ensure all health interventions meet public health standards and promote accessibility and sustainability within the community.
  3. Develop and write high-quality project proposals to secure funding from national and international donors. Work with the resource mobilization team to identify potential funding opportunities, focusing on projects within health, education, agro-business, and climate adaptation.
  4. Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks for all projects. Conduct periodic reviews to assess project progress, identify challenges, and report outcomes and impact to stakeholders and donors.
  5. Manage project teams, providing support, mentorship, and training as needed. Facilitate a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages team members’ professional growth.
  6. Oversee project budgets, ensuring responsible use of resources. Collaborate with the finance team to prepare and review budget reports, maintaining transparency and accountability throughout project phases.
  7. Engage and foster relationships with stakeholders, including community leaders, government officials, NGOs, and funding agencies. Represent CINGROSD in external meetings and events, advocating for the organization’s mission and work.
  8. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential challenges to project success. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity and sustainability, adjusting project activities as needed.

4. Reporting Lines

The Project Manager will report directly to the Executive Director of CINGROSD. The position will also involve close collaboration with other senior management team members.

5. Job Experience and Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Public Health, Project Management, International Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the non-profit or NGO sector, preferably in health, education, Agro-business, or environmental programs.
    • Demonstrated experience in community health program implementation, with expertise in managing TB programs or similar health interventions.
    • Proven track record in proposal writing and resource mobilization, with successful fundraising outcomes.
    • Experience in managing M&E frameworks and conducting project evaluations.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong leadership skills, with experience in team management and capacity building.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of engaging diverse stakeholders.
    • Strong budget management skills, with a focus on transparency and accountability.
    • High level of proficiency in project management tools and MS Office Suite.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
