Job Summary

The State Monitoring and Evaluation Officer II will support the overall data management system of the state and country office, by conducting data collation, paper level review and cleaning, data compilation, mobile data cleaning, data analysis and reporting. And provide technical support for Monitoring activities. S/he will also enter and perform system cleaning of state-level data.

Specific Duties:

  • Perform data review, entry, and cleaning in the management of quantitative and qualitative data sets
  • Paper flow management
  • Perform data analysis to provide technical support to Community Volunteers and LGA supervisors in their delivery of clean data
  • Participate in training of staff, partners and consultants in M&E data collection and processing
  • Contribute to the preparation of Tables, charts and figures for internal program guidance and external publications
  • Support the Director Research, Monitoring and Evaluation in program monitoring and evaluation tasks (data management and result reporting)
  • Provide Administrative support as may be needed by the state team
  • Carry out other tasks to support the BA-Nigeria Monitoring and Evaluation system and other project efforts.

Qualification/Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree/HND or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 years experience working with donor-funded projects in Research and M&E
  • Working experience with USAID funded project/JHU is an added advantage
  • Working Knowledge of MS Office Packages and statistical softwares/Packages (e.g STATA, SPSS, excel)
  • Knowledge of Research and M&E procedures.
  • Well-organized, with ability to track multiple activities and deadlines
  • Ability to work successfully in a cross-cultural, team-based dynamic environment (Required).
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to function with minimum guidance.
