Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibility
Functions / Day to day activities:
- Conduct EORE sessions with community members, including IDPs, returnees, and refugees
- Perform tasks assigned by the supervisor
- Deliver key messages on explosive ordnance risks and safe behaviors
- Engage with community members to promote awareness and understanding of EORE
- Provide feedback and recommendations to the EORE team on community engagement and outreach
- Participate in community events and activities to promote EORE awareness
- And other responsibilities assign by the supervisor
Requirements:
- Be a resident of northeast Nigeria (preferably from the local community)
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be able to communicate effectively in local languages (e.g., Hausa, Kanuri)
- Have a strong understanding of local customs and traditions
- Be willing to work in a challenging and dynamic environment
- Be committed to promoting explosive ordnance risk awareness and education
Desirable skills:
- A demonstrated ability to multi-task and process information into action in a timely manner
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and either Kanuri or Hausa.
- Interpersonal Abilities: Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building effective relationships and maintaining effective communication with diverse community groups and stakeholders.
- Presentation Skills: Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to engage and captivate an audience.
- Organizational Competence: Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
