Role Description
- This is a volunteer remote role for Mentors in Medical Laboratory Science. The role involves providing guidance and support to learners in the field of medical laboratory science.
- Volunteers will be responsible for mentoring students, offering career advice, sharing professional experience, and assisting with coursework and practical assignments. This role requires regular virtual meetings and consistent communication with mentees.
As a mentor, you will:
- Guide mentees on academic and career pathways in medical lab science
- Support scholarship and graduate school applications
- Provide feedback on statements, research proposals, and academic CVs
- Offer professional insight into opportunities in diagnostics, research, and clinical labs
Qualifications
- Strong mentoring and communication skills
- Ability to guide and support learners remotely
- Experience in providing career advice and professional development
- Commitment to volunteer work and passion for education and capacity building
