Job Description
- Shalina Diagnostics, an arm of Shalina Healthcare, provides top-tier diagnostic services.
- As part of our commitment to affordable and accessible healthcare in Africa, the Medical Radiographer/Sonographer will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, ultrasounds, and other medical imaging examinations.
What to expect
- Perform and interpret high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, ultrasounds, and specialized radiographic studies.
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and appropriate selection of imaging techniques for diagnostic accuracy.
- Operate and maintain radiology and sonography equipment in compliance with safety standards.
- Adhere to radiation protection protocols for patients, staff, and self.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
- Participate in quality control, audits, and continuous professional development activities.
- Train and mentor junior staff or interns, when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Radiography, Medical Imaging Science, or related field.
- Current practicing license with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN).
- Certification or formal training in Ultrasound/Sonography is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3–4 years relevant experience in a diagnostic or hospital setting.
- Proficiency in both radiographic imaging and ultrasound techniques.
