M&E Officer

Project Overview and Role:
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will have experience working with non-profit organization or public health programs. The Officer will have experience in up-to-date knowledge and skills in M&E health systems and healthcare provision programming.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Contributes to the development of SMaNCH Foundation Reporting tools, support technical team to ensure the Reporting tools implementation is on track;
Generate robust evidence for programmatic learning that leads to action, decision making, and impact
Monitors project activities and tracks the activities against the intended results framework
Conducts field visits as necessary for data validation to monitor the quality and completeness of data sets
Generate monthly indicator reports and tracking progress against key indicators
Works closely with the community stakeholders in project constituency and trains M&E Assistants at community levels to build their M&E capacity
Conversant and familiar in working with family planning, reproductive, maternal and child health, malaria, nutrition and immunization tools.
Reports directly to project manager
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree / HND in demography, statistics, social sciences, public health, health information management or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience designing, implementing, monitoring, evaluation and learning tasks for health and/or development projects.
Familiarity with standard measurement tools in the areas of reproductive health/family planning, maternal and neonatal health and other relevant technical areas.
Competency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint etc.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Fluent in English (written and oral communication) and Bura language added advantage.
