Job Description
- Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Laravel Developer to join our dynamic team in Lagos, Nigeria.
- As a Laravel Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance web applications using the Laravel framework and related technologies.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure web applications using Laravel and PHP
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement new features
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to best practices and coding standards
- Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services into Laravel applications
- Optimize database queries and application performance
- Implement and maintain version control using Git
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Laravel and PHP development
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Laravel development
- Strong proficiency in PHP and the Laravel framework
- Excellent knowledge of MySQL and database design principles
- Experience with RESTful API development and integration
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Vue.js or React
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
- Knowledge of test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing methodologies
- Strong understanding of web application security best practices
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Laravel certification is a plus
