We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Laboratory Services Associate – QMS & Equip Management & IC
Locations: Delta, Osun & Ekiti

Job Description

  • Under the supervision of Technical Officer – Laboratory Services, the incumbent will design, plan and implement the Laboratory Quality Management System (LQMS) across all Laboratory networks.
  • Ensure that Laboratories are enrolled into the SLMTA program.
  • S/he will oversee the implementation and monitoring of all Laboratory Quality Assurance programs, HIV Rapid Test Continuous Quality Improvement (RTCQI) and the Laboratory Process Review (LPR)
  • Maintain the Central Document Master list in line with the Standards and ensure document control for all Laboratory related documents, records and tools.
  • S/he will design systems for the continual monitoring of the impact of LQMS in the quality of patient care and reliability of the laboratory results.
  • Coordinate the conduct of internal audits, investigation of non-conformities and monitoring of the implementation of appropriate corrective and preventive action.
  • Document all non-compliances, gap assessments and conduct analysis of gaps and share findings with management and internal stakeholder.
  • Communicate changes in guidelines, accreditation, inspection and laboratory professional bodies.
  • Provide specialised training on the Quality Management System.
  • Lead the development, implementation, management and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) dashboard for all laboratory networks.
  • Develop and implement a Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) system for the laboratory.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Minimum Recruitment Standard

  • Bachelor’s Degree in medical laboratory sciences and registered as an Associate member of the Medical Laboratory Sciences Council of Nigeria.
  • A valid certificate to practice as Medical Laboratory Scientist is mandatory.
  • 3 years’ experience of running/implementing public health programs preferably in the NGO context.
  • Certified SLMTAN preferred with significant experience in the design, implementation, and management of Laboratory Quality Management System (LQMS).
  • Experience in conducting assessments and Laboratory audits.
  • Excellent personal communication skills, in written and verbal English, with high impact influencing and persuasive skills and able to represent the organization externally.
  • Good experience in using MS Word, Excel or applicable Office suit is required.
