Malaria Consortium Nigeria is committed to tackling the large number of malaria cases and deaths in the country. Working in partnership with the Ministry of Health and other partners, we lead and support three major malaria control initiatives in the country: Support to the National Malaria Control Programme (SuNMaP); NetWorks and MAPS. Our areas of focus include: Technical support for malaria control Capacity building, harmonisation and training of health workers Heath systems strengthening Behaviour Change Communications and community outreach activities Operational research, policy and advocacy.

Malaria Consortium requires qualified HR consultants that will provide recruitment support to the Country office on the SMC intervention of GF NMF3. The HR recruitment support will be based in the Country Office of Malaria Consortium. S/he will support in the overall recruitment process for the period of consultancy. 
Specific Activities for the HR Support Consultant

  • Support in the reviewing, sorting of all applications to provide a suitable longlist in line with the job description;
  • Review pre-interview questions and support in the logistics towards the recruitment process
  • Draft interview schedule and share with HR Manager and Hiring Manager for approval
  • Arrange interviews, including correspondence with candidates and panel members. 
  • Prepare and keep electronic files of the recruitment material as required.
  • Together with the SHROs ensure that all candidates receive timely communication.
  • Keep recruitment data like job descriptions, interview grids, tests on the personal files in line with Data Protection regulations.
  • Draft contract letters for the adhoc staff and data collectors and save signed versions accordingly

Key deliverables for the consultant

  • Longlist of applicants
  • Interviews conducted for applicants
  • On-boarding of 150 adhoc staff and 250 data collectors
  • All recruitment documents including interview grids, pre-interview documents, contracts and other personnel documents are properly collated and shared with HR focal points.

Qualifications and Experience 

  • HND/BSc degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related discipline. 
  • Minimum of 2-3years’ experience in a related role 
  • Prior experience in a similar level role
  • Experience in human resources or administration
  • Experience in record keeping/management.
  • Experience in high pressure recruitment is preferred
  • Knowledge of Nigeria employment law.
