We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Healthy Hearth Africa Zonal Programme Officer

Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the following:

  • Overall oversight for implementation, supervision and reporting of Healthy Heart Africa (HHA) program activities in 3 states under your jurisdiction
  • Serve as the liaison between all partners, including but not limited to the States Ministries of Health (SMOH), States Primary Health Care Development Board (SPHCDB), States Hospital Management Board (SHMB), local government health departments and partner community-based organizations (CBOs) in the respective states
  • Monitor and ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of all project activities across program implementation sites (Primary Healthcare Centers and General Hospitals) and partners to ensure the quality of service provision and alignment of priorities, including, financial and programmatic oversight, administration, and regular joint on-site supervision visits with ministry officials
  • Serve as the focal point for engaging with the MOH and other stakeholders on key issues relevant to service delivery in the coverage states.
  • Lead quarterly review meetings with LGA coordinators and health facility providers including capacity building and technical assistance.
  • Responsible for the submission of high-quality monthly reporting to the HHA Program Manager and State focal persons. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any Health-related field (Medicine, Public health, Nursing, Epidemiology, Anthropology, Development, Demography, Statistics, etc) and/or
  • A registered Medical Doctor, Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, Community Health Officer (CHO) with at least 3 years of working experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Language skills: Fluency in English, working knowledge of local languages in the geopolitical zone
  • Ability to travel locally up to 60%.
  • References will be required.
  • The successful candidate will be required to pass a background check.
