Job Identification
- The Head of Programme at AYGF is responsible for the strategic leadership, implementation, and management of all programmes and projects within the organization.
- This role ensures that all initiatives align with AYGF’s mission and objectives, meet donor requirements, and achieve impactful results for beneficiaries.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of AYGF’s programmes across various sectors (e.g., youth empowerment, education, health, livelihoods, migration, etc.).
- Ensure all projects align with AYGF’s strategic goals and donor requirements.
- Supervise and mentor programme staff, ensuring efficient performance and professional growth.
- Develop and implement systems for monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) to measure programme impact.
- Lead the design of new programmes and initiatives in line with AYGF’s vision.
- Identify funding opportunities and support proposal writing to secure grants and partnerships.
- Strengthen relationships with donors, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, including NGOs, government agencies, and private sector entities.
- Enhance AYGF’s visibility and influence within the development sector.
Job Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in International Development, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or a related field.
- At least 7-10 years of experience in programme management within the NGO or development sector with strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, LogFrame, Theory of Change tools, etc.).
- Strong experience in donor engagement and proposal development.
