We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Volunteer Grants and Partnership Officer to support our resource mobilization and partnership management efforts while gaining valuable practical experience in humanitarian grants management.

Position Summary
The Volunteer Grants and Partnership Officer will support the implementation of grant management, donor compliance, and partnership development activities across TTHO programmes. Working under the supervision of the Grants Manager or Programme Manager, the volunteer will assist in proposal development, donor reporting, partner coordination, and grant compliance tracking.
This position provides an excellent opportunity for young professionals seeking practical experience in humanitarian grants and partnership management.
Key Responsibilities
The Volunteer Grants and Partnership Officer will:
Grant Management
- Support the tracking of grant timelines, deliverables, and reporting schedules.
- Assist in the preparation and review of donor reports (narrative and financial).
- Support compliance monitoring against donor rules and regulations.
- Maintain an updated grants tracker and compliance calendar.
Proposal Development & Resource Mobilization
- Support research on funding opportunities and donor priorities.
- Assist in drafting concept notes, proposals, and budgets.
- Support the compilation of supporting documents for funding applications.
Partnership Coordination
- Support coordination and communication with implementing and strategic partners.
- Assist in organizing partnership meetings, MOUs, and sub-grant agreements.
- Support due diligence and capacity assessments of potential partners.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain organized records of grant agreements, correspondence, and partner documentation.
- Support documentation of lessons learned and donor visibility requirements.
- Assist in compiling internal grants and partnership reports.
Other Responsibilities
- Participate in coordination meetings and capacity-building sessions.
- Ensure compliance with organizational grants management policies.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Experience
- Previous volunteer, internship, or work experience in grants management or resource mobilization is an added advantage.
- Experience with donor-funded project compliance (USAID, ECHO, UN agencies, etc.) is desirable.
- Knowledge of humanitarian programming will be an added advantage.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Basic understanding of grants management and donor compliance principles.
- Strong proposal writing and research skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and in a multicultural environment.
- Willingness to travel to project locations within Borno State when required.
