Hope 360 Initiative for Peace (HOPE360) is an independent national non-governmental, non-profit, humanitarian and developmental organization supporting relief and development work in Nigeria hoping to be around the world with a vision of creating a society where men and women have an equal opportunity to participate in every sphere irrespective of their sex, gearing towards rebuilding a wall of peace and restoring their hope for a sustainable development.  HOPE360 is a Nigeria based Organization and has been operating since 2018, with various humanitarian interventions being carried out in 2018 till date. Hope 360 Initiative works in the following thematic areas which include Health, Nutrition, Livelihood/Food Security, Education, CCCM/SHELTER/NFI, Protection, Peace Building and Conflict resolution. , HOPE360 owing to the linkages of its members with national & international funding agencies enjoys a diverse portfolio, characterized by partnership with organizations like Frugal Empowerment Foundation, Green Concern for Development, BOT.

ABOUT THE JOB:

The Case Worker will be responsible for case management and psychosocial support of vulnerable women, including survivors of violence, in one of the project sites in Maiduguri. She/he will ensure that survivor cantered approach is adhered to and GBV survivors and other vulnerable women and girls receive prompt and comprehensive services.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

The GBV Case worker will be responsible for the following, including those not listed but are extensions of those expressly stated:

Provide direct, one-on-one and ongoing case management services, including safety planning

Provide direct, one-on-one emotional support to survivors throughout case management process including final case evaluation and closure

Provide referrals for survivors to other services including child protection and specialized mental health services, accompany of survivors where appropriate and conduct follow- up to ensure appropriate services have been provided to the survivor.

Identify gaps in referral services and report these gaps to the GBV Manager for action.

Liaise with community volunteers for purposes of survivor follow-up as part of case management to individual survivors.

Ensure survivor-centred services, including adherence to guiding principles of respect, confidentiality, safety and security and non-discrimination

Complete and maintain case management records to maximize confidentiality and safety

Participate in case review meetings and referral coordination meetings if needed

Submit case management reports on a weekly and monthly basis

Contribute to a positive team environment

Practice self-care

Maintain confidentiality and ethical conduct

Submit weekly and monthly activities reports to the supervisor every Friday and at the end of each month

Carryout any other duties as outlined by the supervisor.

Accountability: Attended trainings on GBV and is aware of protection issue

Communication: Proven experience in similar function desirable.

Experience in GBVIMS and case management; Supervisory experience; Self-starter.

Flexible and willing to work and stay in rural communities especially field based

Attended trainings on GBV and is aware of protection issues.

Good interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships with all staff and key stakeholders externally.

Willingness and ability to take initiative not only in identifying problems but also in suggesting and implementing solutions.

Qualification

Bachelor degree in psychology, social sciences, public health, humanitarian work, nursing or any related field from a certified tertiary institution with at least two years and above proven field experience in similar position or related.

Languages

Fluency in written and spoken English, Hausa and Kanuri.
