Green Concern for Development (GREENCODE) was founded by Comrade Edem Edem in collaboration with other youths from the area as a youth based NGO, called Abgremo for Development in 1997. Over the years the organisation has grown and engaged with other development partners.

We are currently recruiting a qualified and passionate FSL Project Officer to support implementation in Nganzai LGA, Borno State.
Job Purpose:
The FSL Officer will coordinate and implement field-level activities that strengthen the food security and resilience of vulnerable households. The role includes supporting cash/voucher programs, agricultural inputs distribution, vocational training, small business support, and capacity-building of local partners to promote sustainable livelihoods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead community assessments and beneficiary selection processes using inclusive and participatory approaches.
- Implement cash-based interventions (CBI), food assistance programs, and in-kind support in line with donor and internal SOPs.
- Coordinate the distribution of agricultural inputs, livestock, and startup kits for targeted livelihoods.
- Facilitate vocational training, business management sessions, and market linkages for beneficiaries.
- Monitor and evaluate project activities to ensure outcomes align with program goals and standards.
- Collect baseline, midline, and endline data and contribute to reporting and documentation of success stories and lessons learned.
- Work closely with local authorities, community groups, and cooperatives to ensure alignment with government development plans.
- Promote climate-smart agriculture, diversification, and savings and loans group (VSLA) formation.
- Ensure gender and protection mainstreaming across all FSL interventions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Rural Development, Agribusiness, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in FSL program design and implementation, preferably in humanitarian settings.
- Experience with cash and voucher programming (CVP) and digital payments systems is an asset.
- Knowledge of market analysis tools, such as HEA, EMMA, or similar.
- Familiarity with food security frameworks and monitoring indicators (e.g., IPC, FCS).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and team leadership skills.
