Job Title: Finance Officer (Volunteer)
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Reports to: Executive Director
Role Purpose
- The Finance Officer (Volunteer) will assist in maintaining transparent financial records, ensuring accountability and compliance with LiFon’s policies and donor standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day bookkeeping and record-keeping functions.
- Prepare payment vouchers, receipts, and financial summaries.
- Assist in petty cash management and monthly reconciliations.
- Support budget preparation and expenditure tracking for project activities.
- Maintain proper filing of all financial documents and support audit preparation.
Qualifications and Experience
- HND / BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or accounting software.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
- Previous experience with an NGO or humanitarian setting is an added advantage.
