New Foundation for Displaced Persons (NFDP) is a non- governmental organization established under the Nigeria law dedicated to providing crucial support to individuals displaced by insurgency and crises to survival, recover and rebuild their lives.

Qualification:  ND/DIPLOMA.

Job Summary:

The Finance Intern will provide administrative support to the finance team, assisting with financial management, budgeting, and accounting tasks. The intern will work closely with the finance team to ensure efficient and effective financial operations, and gain valuable experience in NGO financial management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with financial data entry and record-keeping
  • Help with budget tracking and financial reporting
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Participate in financial analysis and planning
  • Assist with financial documentation and compliance
  • Support audit preparations and financial reviews
  • Ensure adherence with NFDP policies
  • Ensure proper filling of document
  • Take day to day responsibility of managing petty cash and cash box
  • Preparation of payment vouchers for cash and cheques and ensure timely settlement of all undisputed invoices.
  • Facilitate and assist finance Officer to perform cash and bank reconciliation.
  • The candidate must have good knowledge of accounting soft-ware (Quick-books).
  • He/she should be able to process payment.

Key Requirements

  • ND/Diploma, Bsc Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to details
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Academic qualification.
