Center for Human Settlement and Sustainable Development (CHUSSDEV) was established in 2015 and since its inception, the organisation has worked to promote the achievement of the SDG goals in five critical areas: Urban and Rural Development, Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change, Poverty Alleviation, and Youth Enablement. The organisation is headquartered in Abuja with field offices in 21 states. CHUSSDEV has an extensive and growing network of 20 experienced staff, 15 expert consultants, 30 dedicated volunteers and a few dedicated partners scattered across the country and working tirelessly to make the organization’s commitments to National development a reality.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Finance and Administrative Assistant

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing current and past financial data and performance
  • Assist in preparing reports and projections based on this analysis
  • Coordinating with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts
  • providing financial models and forecasting
  • Developing initiatives and policies that may improve financial growth.
  • Evaluating current capital expenditures and depreciation
  • Identifying trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement Prepare delegated reports, as needed,
  • Working closely with the Project grant accountant on all matters in respect of project finances
  • Coordinate and report on activities and required resources to ensure cost efficient and quality service delivery from administrative support functions.
  • Ensure administrative systems, processes, and policies are in line with agency standards and donor and local law regulations.
  • Coordinate the provision of travel and logistics support and services to staff and visitors. Coordinate event planning activities, including delegation visits, trainings and workshops.

Qualification and Skills

  • HND / Degree Banking & Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business,.
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience in Accounting or a financial management position.
  • Familiarity the relevant public donors’ regulations preferred.
  • Knowledge of IFRS, QuickBooks, or other accounting software is required.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, especially in MS Office products (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Consistent track record of success and career progression.
