         I.       Introduction

Solina Health is a global health system-strengthening organization that has supported governments in over 15 countries in Africa to optimize health outcomes through research, design and implementation of innovative solutions that address global healthcare challenges in a local context. Our work seeks to benefit primarily disadvantaged and under-served populations. We implement transformation programs in Nigeria and are currently expanding our footprint to several West and Central African countries. We are building a competent world-class management team to enable us sustainably achieve our strategic growth objectives. 

Solina Health will be working as part of a consortium of organizations on a program to provide targeted support and sustainably build the leadership and management capacity of EPI team/managers, strengthen EPI coordination fora and overall EPI program at national and sub-national levels through the strategic use of data across 8 countries.

         II.     Description and Objectives

The Field Associate will provide technical and operational support for the execution of the EPI Program in Bossembélé and Boda Districts in Region 1, CAR. This will involve day-to-day execution of program workflows.  

Technical Responsibilities – Program Support

a. Program implementation

  • Lead the conduct of immunization system diagnostic in regions/districts
  • Support day-to-day execution of the program activities;
  • Contribute to a program workstream and escalate program challenges to Country Lead;
  • Gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations;
  • Facilitate collaboration and coordination with cooperating partners to guarantee smooth implementation of activities and achievement of results;
  • Participate in routine technical problem-solving sessions with the primary client and relevant stakeholders to brainstorm implementation challenges and align on decisions to guide the path forward;

b. Program monitoring and reporting

  • Regularly track, monitor and review program activities to ensure quality, accountability, and contractual compliance with agreed deliverables and performance indicators as per the scope of work;
  • Document progress reports and liaising with key stakeholders;
  • Participate in structured mid-term and end-term program evaluations;

         III.    Required competencies

  • Advanced computer usage skills with proficiency in Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint;

  • Results-oriented performer, experienced in developing and tracking self and team with clear KPIs;  
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills,  

b. Education and Experience  

Academic training: A minimum of a graduate degree in International Development, Applied Sciences and Technology, Policy and Strategy Development, Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Management or similarly relevant field; Experience:  

  • 1-3 years role relevant experience 
  • Strong record of leadership in academic, professional or extracurricular setting
