MEAL Field Assistant
ROLE:
To gather feedback, and accurately interpret written feedback and documents on a database. To sensitize communities in implementing LGAs on Accountability. Support M&E activities Conduct M&E activities as directed.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
The Field Assistant will be required to:
- Conduct M&E activities as directed.
- Ensure a proper filing system for all the complaints and feedback received through feedback boxes and community volunteers.
- Support in aggregating FRM data from the field (suggestion box/help desk/ Community consultations) to a summary FRM database – Translate feedback from local language(s) to English.
- Support in identifying complaints and other feedback trends that indicate where the Programs can improve.
- Receive and respond to beneficiary complaints under the direction and supervision of MEAL Manager/Accountability
- Support in following up on complaints and feedback internal referrals with appropriate offices and sectors and respond to raised pending issues.
- Sensitize Communities on accountability, mechanisms, and channels to give feedback.
- Support field teams to collect information on potential case studies and success stories.
- Other duties as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND ATTRIBUTES
- Diploma in any Discipline.
- Candidates must have at least 1-year progressive experience working in a related position in particular Humanitarian experience.
- Formal training in Accountability, Monitoring and Evaluation, Data Management, Core Humanitarian Standard, Data Quality Assurance (DQA) is an asset
- Excellent Listening skills
- Good in time management Must be detail oriented.
- Good writing and editing skills.
- Fluency in Hausa/french/fulani and English language is a MUST.
- Good oral and written communications skills
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a multi-cultural team environment.
- Experience in implementing FRM is an advantage.
- Good IT skills is an advantage.
- Excellent in Excel and word.
- Most be an indigene or person living in that community. Computer knowledge is an added advantage. Proven technical skills and intellectual capacity Be able to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work under pressure, with little or no supervision
- Experience with community development, working with children and schools.
- The ability to think critically and to recommend good solutions to problems.
- Strong Organizational skills.
- Commitment to Save the Children’s Child Policy
