Completed partner profile forms and other required documents should be submitted via email to the address above on or before the specified date and time. Submissions after the deadline may be excluded from the evaluation process.
A. About Tearfund
Tearfund is an international Christian organization working in 50 countries globally. We partner with local churches and indigenous organizations to bring change to the lives of those in greatest economic need. We believe poverty is caused by broken relationships with God, others, the environment, and ourselves. Restoring these relationships is key to our work, which aims for economic, material, environmental, and spiritual transformation.

B. Scope of Required Services
Our work is guided by four corporate priorities:
- Church & Community Transformation (CCT): Holistic transformation through high-quality facilitation, integrated programming, and strong partnerships with denominations, theological institutions, and church networks.
- Environmental & Economic Sustainability (EES): Safeguarding, enriching, restoring, and sustaining the environment through movement building, influencing policies, and creating “green jobs.”
- Reconciled Peace-Filled Societies (RPS): Addressing the impact and systemic causes of violence to bring sustainable peace to individuals and communities in Nigeria.
- Crisis to Resilience (C2R): Equipping faith actors and local humanitarian actors to lead in disaster crisis preparedness and response.
Prospective partners must demonstrate how their competence aligns with these strategic focuses.
C. Proposal Submission Requirements
Please ensure that all requested information is included in your submission. Evaluators will not make assumptions or inferences regarding missing or incomplete information, which could result in the rejection of proposals.

Required Documentation:
- Organization profile, cover letter with registered address, functional email, telephone numbers, and point of contact, explaining suitability and alignment with our strategy.
- Evidence of organization registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission, including MoU.
- Tax clearance certificate for 2021, 2022, and 2023.
- Audited financial bank statements for 2021, 2022, and 2023.
- Verifiable list of current partnership agreements, including international NGOs.
- Copy of SCUML certificate.
- Evidence of membership in any core competence sector working group.
- References from three (3) previous or existing partners.
- Completion of the partner profile form (request from [email protected]).
D. Submission of Proposal
The subject of the submission email should clearly indicate “Nigeria Partnership.” Submission should be in zip format, with all required documents as attachments. All copies of the documents must be signed by authorized representatives of the prospective organization and submitted to [email protected] by 18:00 hrs on Wednesday, 2nd August, 2024.
Prospective organizations must submit requests for any clarifications concerning this expression of interest to [email protected] by 17:30 hrs on Wednesday, 31st July, 2024.
Important Notice
Issuance of this EOI does not constitute a commitment by Tearfund to award a partnership agreement. Tearfund reserves the right to vary any part of this EOI at the time of award if necessary.
