The EquityTech Fellowship 2025 is here to bring together visionary entrepreneurs from the U.S. and around the globe who are leveraging technology to address inequities in education and the workforce. Hosted by Halcyon, this program offers founders expert training, critical resources, and an eight-week in-person residency in Washington, DC.

Focus Areas The Fellowship supports ventures working in these key sectors:
- EdTech: Technological solutions that enhance teaching, accessibility, and financial inclusion in education. These innovations span K-12, higher education, lifelong learning, and corporate training, and often incorporate AI, data analytics, and immersive technologies.
- Future of Work: Solutions that expand job market access and empower individuals of all abilities to thrive in the workforce. These include upskilling and reskilling tools, workforce analytics, and innovations enhancing workplace collaboration and well-being.
Program Structure The program supports up to 8 ventures from around the world, providing training on Halcyon’s methodology in areas like product-market fit, investment readiness, and leadership. The program includes:
- A virtual kickoff meeting
- An eight-week, in-person residency at Halcyon in Washington, DC
Benefits Selected ventures will receive:
- $10,000 equity-free stipend
- $10,000 in AWS credits
- Professional advisors
- Workshops on leadership development and investment readiness
- Networking with investors and stakeholders
- Pro bono legal support
- Access to Halcyon’s global network of 600+ impact-driven entrepreneurs
Key Dates
- March 4, 2025: Applications open

- June 5–6, 2025: Finalist virtual pitch sessions
- June 13, 2025: Selected fellows notified
- September 12, 2025: Virtual program kickoff
- September 29–November 21, 2025: Residency in Washington, DC
Eligibility The program is open to for-profit startups focused on EdTech and Future of Work that meet these criteria:
- Must have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with the potential to scale
- Must operate the venture on a full-time basis
- The applicant must:
- Be the CEO or hold primary decision-making power
- Be fluent in English
- Be at least 21 years old by the program start date
- Be able to fully participate in all program activities
- Develop a venture contributing to one or more of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Applications will be evaluated based on Impact, Scalability, Innovation, and Engagement.
