Role Overview

  • To drive the Participation agenda by expanding the association’s membership base, improving retention, strengthening engagement, and maximising member value. This role ensures FintechNGR becomes the national benchmark for industry representation and community impact.

Key Responsibilities

Membership Acquisition & Expansion

  • Develop and execute a high-growth membership acquisition strategy targeting local and international players.
  • Lead structured prospecting, onboarding campaigns, and conversion activities.
  • Build strategic engagements with founders, CEOs, executives, regulators, and ecosystem leaders.

Membership Engagement & Retention

  • Develop member-centric programs, communities of practice, and exclusive benefits.
  • Oversee onboarding journeys, member communications, and periodic check-ins.
  • Drive digital engagement and CRM optimisation for automated renewal reminders and satisfaction tracking.

Revenue & Value Proposition Growth

  • Expand membership revenue channels and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Drive partnerships that unlock value for members through discounts, training offers, insights, and exposure.

Leadership & Operations

  • Manage the membership team, outputs, and weekly performance reports.
  • Coordinate quarterly membership roundtables and stakeholder engagements.
  • Deliver accurate monthly membership pipeline and performance reports.

Qualifications & Skill Set

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or related fields.
  • Master’s degree or professional certification is an advantage.
  • 7+ years work experience; 3+ years in leadership roles.
  • Strong stakeholder management & relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and CRM experience.
  • Experience managing communities or membership-driven organisations.
  • Demonstrated ability to hit aggressive revenue and acquisition targets.
