Overview
iCARE Plus Clinical Research Center (CRC) is funded by the United States National institutes of Health (NIH) to conduct interventional trials over 5 years with outcomes across the HIV care continuum in youth aged 15-24, including young men who have sex with men (MSM), through new Clinical Research Performance Sites (CRPSs) in HIV “hotspots” across Nigeria’s six geopolitically distinct zones. The CRPSs include Akwa Ibom, Benue, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, and Taraba.
The Enugu CRPS seeks to recruit a Data Manager at the main clinical site in Enugu State. The Data Manager will be responsible for the entering of accurate iCARE Nigeria Plus data while protecting the integrity of the data. The Data Manager will support the iCARE Nigeria Plus team at University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) and General Hospital Enugu-Ezike in the delivery of high quality research. The services of a full time Data Manager on a contract basis for one year in the first instance but renewable thereafter based on satisfactory performance is required.

Responsibilities
• Work with the Study Coordinators and Outreach Coordinators under the supervision of the Program Manager.
- Enter data from paper-based CRFs and other iCARE Nigeria Plus data collection tools.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of all data.
- Oversee data collection, storage, and retrieval processes.
- Resolve data queries.
- Report any anomaly or protocol deviation promptly to the PI through the Program Manager and the
Co-Is.
- Uphold the highest level of confidentiality regarding all data collection procedures.
- Carry out any tasks that may be assigned by the PI and Co-Is of the project.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Public Health Information management or a related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Proven experience as a Data Manager or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in REDCap, MS Excel, data management, and data analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
