The Danida Fellowship Centre (DFC) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Danida Fellows Networkers Grant 2025. This grant provides funding for initiatives that promote dialogue, collaboration, and actionable solutions to global challenges. As a member of the Danida Fellows Network, you have the opportunity to apply for support to engage stakeholders across sectors and create meaningful change.
This grant offers alumni of DFC programs the chance to transform the knowledge and skills gained through their participation in DFC activities into action. Whether you are working on climate change, digitalization, green transition, or gender issues, the Danida Fellows Networkers Grant aims to support projects that foster collaboration across sectors to drive positive change.
Program Overview
- Objective: The grant provides funding to support small-scale initiatives that foster dialogue, collaboration, and action within or across sectors.
- Grant Amount: Up to 35,000 DKK per initiative.
- Eligible Activities: Knowledge-sharing events, networking activities, workshops, seminars, or collaborative projects.
- Themes: Activities should focus on issue-specific topics (e.g., green transition, climate change, health) or cross-cutting themes (e.g., women in management, organisational change, network leadership).
- Participants: At least 50 participants must be engaged in the initiative.
- Co-funding: While not mandatory, co-funding from other sources is encouraged.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Danida Fellows Networkers Grant, you must meet the following criteria:
- Who Can Apply:
- Danida Fellows: You must be a member of the Danida Fellows Network, which includes alumni of DFC learning programmes or research projects.
- Country Eligibility: Applicants from any country are eligible, provided they are members of the Danida Fellows Network.
- Research Projects: If you have previously received or are planning to apply for a Science Engagement Grant from DFC, you are not eligible for this grant. However, you can still contribute to activities funded by Networkers Grants.
- Requirements:
- You must liaise with the coordinating team of your local Danida Fellows Network (if one exists) to discuss your initiative.
- You must engage a minimum of 50 participants in your event/activity.
- Applicants must aim to meet Objectives 1, 2, and 4 outlined in the grant’s objectives.
Program Details
- Funding Amount: Up to 35,000 DKK.
- Grant Duration: The grant supports activities that must be completed within the current calendar year.
- Types of Eligible Costs:
- Venue rental or professional online platforms.
- Refreshments (snacks, drinks).
- Supplies (stationery, training manuals).
- Speaker fees (external experts or non-alumni).
- Communications costs (graphic design, flyers, video production).
- Logistical expenses (delivery costs, rental of equipment).
- Note: Accommodation costs are not eligible, and only 25% of the budget can be used for logistical expenses such as transport.
- Excluded Costs:
- Accommodation.
- Non-eligible logistical expenses.
How to Apply
The application process involves the following steps:
- Pre-Application:
- Liaise with Local Network: If a national Danida Fellows Network exists in your country, contact the network coordinator and plan your activity in collaboration with them.
- Explore Research Projects: Identify any DFC-administered research projects in your region and consider involving them in your event.
- Get Preliminary Agreements: Confirm participation from any external partners or speakers you plan to invite.
- Submit Your Application:
- Complete the online application form before the 16 March 2025 deadline.
- Provide a detailed budget and breakdown of how the funds will be used.
- Describe your proposed activity’s objectives and expected outcomes.

Reporting and Accountability
Once the grant is awarded, the following reporting and accountability steps must be completed:
- Final Report: A completion report (or video) explaining how the activity met its objectives.
- Financial Accounts: Submit financial records including receipts and vouchers, signed by the coordinator.
- Participant List: Include a list of all participants.
- Media: High-quality photos and videos from the event, with consent from participants for use in DFC communications.
