Background
Justice, Development and Peace Commission (JDPC) is a non-governmental organization which has been engaged in developmental works in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States for the past 50 years. JDPC also focuses on Agriculture, WaSH, Nutrition, MHPSS and other emergency programming, reaching out to all persons based on need, regardless of creed, ethnicity or nationality.
JDPC is inviting suitably qualified candidates for the above-mentioned position to work in Kaga and Magumeri

Positions: Construction Supervisor
Duration: 3 Months
Location: Maiduguri
Post Description:
The Construction Supervisor oversees on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and according to specifications. He/She will coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and workers, manage schedules, enforce quality delivery and resolve on-site issues. The role involves quality assurance, material management, and maintaining clear communication between all stakeholders, including WaSH officer.
Strong leadership, organizational skills, and construction knowledge are essential.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee construction activities
- Ensure quality and safety standards
- Manage labor and materials
- Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders
- Report to Project Manager
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of construction supervision experience
- Strong knowledge of construction regulations and standards
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in challenging environments
- National Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional certifications (e.g., COREN)
- Experience in WASH or infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with local languages and cultures
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software
