About The Job

The Community Case Worker is a field-based position responsible for supporting community awareness, trainings, and sensitization activities; identifying vulnerable individuals; conducting follow-ups; facilitating referrals; and supporting case management processes. The role works closely with communities and service providers to ensure timely and appropriate support for vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support community awareness, sensitization, and training activities on protection-related issues.
  • Identify vulnerable individuals and households through community engagement and referrals.
  • Support intake, follow-up, and monitoring of cases under the guidance of the Case Management Officer.
  • Facilitate timely referrals to appropriate services in line with established referral pathways.
  • Conduct home visits and follow-ups while ensuring confidentiality and survivor-centered principles.
  • Support documentation and record-keeping related to case management activities.
  • Engage with community leaders and structures to strengthen protection and referral mechanisms.
  • Participate in community meetings and coordination activities as required.
  • Prepare basic activity reports and submit them to the supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of OND / NCE; higher qualifications are an advantage.
  • At least 1–2 years’ experience in community work, social services, or humanitarian programming.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations is highly desirable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in local language(s) is an advantage.

  • Ability to work respectfully within communities.
  • Basic understanding of confidentiality and protection principles.
  • Willingness to work in remote and field-based locations.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
