Bridge for Women Development Initiative (BOWDI) is a women-led, non-profit organization committed to promoting gender equality, protection, and sustainable development through advocacy, community engagement, and empowerment programs.
We are seeking a passionate and creative Communication and Advocacy Intern to support our efforts in raising awareness, amplifying voices, and driving impactful change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing communication and advocacy strategies.
- Create engaging content for social media platforms, newsletters, and reports.
- Support the documentation of success stories, case studies, and project activities.
- Assist in organizing campaigns, events, and community outreach initiatives.
- Monitor media coverage and compile communication updates for internal use.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the advocacy and communication team.
Requirements:
- Must be a graduate with a degree in Communications, Media, Journalism, Public Relations, Social Sciences, or related field.
- Must have successfully completed NYSC.
- Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills.
- Familiarity with social media management and digital advocacy tools.
- Creative, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Commitment to BOWDI’s mission, with a passion for women’s rights and social justice.
