Job Description
- Provides Overall strategic and technical leadership in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the project in selected states.
- Serve as the principal point of contact between the Donor and ARFH on procedural and substantive matters related to the project.
- Lead the development of annual work plans and budget for project implementation.
- Oversee the advocacy and collaboration with primary stakeholders and gatekeepers to provide enabling environment for the implementation of programme activities at the State and National level.
- Review and approve submitted programme budgets to guide programme implementation at the national and state level
- Manage the relationship between ARFH and Sub- Recipient including Sub-Contractor on the project.
- Represent ARFH at national high-level meetings with Government of Nigeria (GoN), donor and partners
- Submit narrative and financial reports to the donor and other relevant stakeholders as at when due.
Specific Responsibilities
- We seek applications from qualified persons for the following position in an anticipated US CDC funded Immunization project “Strengthening immunization program implementation in sub-national consequential geographies in Nigeria (SIPIS-Nigeria)”.
- The candidate will be based in Abuja with oversight functions in selected states and report to the Director of Programs.
Qualifications
- MBBS, B.Sc. Degree in any Medical or Social Sciences
- Master’s Degree in a relevant field such as Public Health, Development Studies, Social Work or other health related field.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior program management position.
- Demonstrated experience in routine immunization
- Proven record of accomplishment of leadership, supportive supervision, mentoring and coaching skills.
- Ability to develop and track project work plans and budget effectively.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English Language.
- Great Interpersonal Communication Skills.
- Excellent computer skills in MS Office suite and working knowledge of M & E software
