We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Chef to join our team at Candlelight support residence dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing environment for individuals we serve. The Chef will be responsible for preparing, and serving nutritious and appealing meals that support the health and well-being of our clients, while adhering to dietary restrictions and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan weekly menus in line with nutritional guidelines and individual dietary needs.
- Prepare and serve meals in a timely, safe, and hygienic manner. c. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed.
- Collaborate with support staff to accommodate clients preferences and feedback.
- Support special events or themed meals as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a chef or cook, preferably in a care or residential setting.
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and safe food preparation.
- Relevant food hygiene and safety certifications.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Compassionate and respectful approach to working with vulnerable individuals.
- Must reside around Badore / Ajah or willing to relocate to our accommodation.
