WHAT WE DO …

SOLIDARITY INTERNATIONAL (SI)is an association of’ international humanitarian aid which, for more than 40 years, has been helping people who are victims of armed conflicts and natural disasters by responding to the vital needs, drinking, eating, sheltering. Particularly engaged in the fight against diseases related to unhealthy’, the leading cause of death in the world, SI implements through its interventions an expertise in the field of’access to drinking’water,’sanitation and the promotion of hygiene but also in that, essential, food security and means of’. Present in more than 20 countries, the SI teams, 2500 people in total, composed of’expatriates, national staffs, permanent staff at headquarters, some volunteers…intervene with professionalism and commitment in respect of cultures.

THE MISSION

SOLA BAGA

  • ECHO Post-RRM project “Post-RRM response for displaced populations most vulnerable to food and nutrition insecurity impacted by the security crisis (Lake)”
  • BHA Project “Integrated multi-sectoral response to IDPs and host communities of the Lake Province, Chad”

GORE

  • CDCS project “Programme for strengthening access to EHA services in areas of population displacement in the Eastern Logone province of Chad”

JOB DESCRIPTION

General objective :

Under the hierarchical supervision of the Field Coordinator and the functional supervision of the Administrative and Financial Coordinator, the’admin/trice ensures the administrative, accounting and financial management of the bases, including, in compliance with donor procedures and International Solidarity.

  • Supervises accounting operations, cash management and carries out budget monitoring in collaboration with program managers.
  • Is guarantor of the proper application of the Human Resources International Solidarity policy on its bases.
  • Supports, follows and trains the members of its administrative team. The’administrator ensures the administrative, accounting and financial management of its base, in compliance with donor procedures and International Solidarity.

Main Challenges :

  • Multibases position that requires good monitoring and good communication, good management of remote management
  • Setup new to establish and strengthen, with several recruitments to perform
  • Increase in the volume of activities of the Baga Sola base to be supported, including a more technical BHA project
  • Assistants.es Admin little autonomous to accompany, admin process to strengthen

Priorities for the first 2/3 months :

  • Consolidate setup
  • Supporting the’ potential extension of projects from the SI base in Baga Sola
  • Strengthen the skills of the teams of the administration departments and consolidate compliance with existing processes (Gore)

YOUR PROFILE

Training :

Bac + 4 in financial management and or equivalent degree in accounting

Technical experience and skills :

  • 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector
  • First experience in an equivalent position
  • Administrative management of staff
  • Ensure cash and accounting management and update budget tracking + OFU and LFU
  • Carry out reporting from the base
  • Organization & prioritization
  • Remote management and multicultural team management
  • Communication

Languages :

IF YOU WILL OFFER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS

An employee position : According to experience, from EUR 2310 gross per month (2100 base salary + 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly) and a Per Diem monthly of EUR 600 .

SI also covers accommodation and travel costs between the expatriate’s country of origin and the place of employment.

Breaks : During the mission, a system of alternation between work and leave is set up at the rate of 7 working days every three months (with USD 850 allocated by Solidarity International). In addition to these break periods, there is one additional day of rest per month worked.

Social and medical coverage : Expatriates receive insurance that reimburses all health costs (including medical and surgical expenses, dental and ophthalmological care, etc, repatriation) and a contingency system including war risks. Vaccination and antimalarial treatment costs are reimbursed.

Quiet in Baga Sola and Gore within the city
Quiet in N’Djamena but current election period that could disrupt the current situation

N’DJAMENA : Individual apartment, on-site humanitarian community and limited but varied social/sports/cultural outing opportunities

BAGA SOLA : Single room and SDB based on SI (1 single office-GH) : water, electricity, A/C (air conditioner)
2 expatriate positions, and presence of other NGOs in Baga Sola
Simple conditions, few social activities on site

GORE: accommodation in the HCR GH, simple conditions, few social activities on site
